Your access to Google Vids features may vary. Find out which Google Account types have access to Google Vids and different Vids features below.

Language availability
You can use Google Vids in a wide range of languages. Most Gemini features in Google Vids are only available in English at this time. Learn about supported languages for Google Workspace with Gemini.
Create, view & edit access to Vids
Create new videos
To check if you have access to create a new video:
- On your computer, go to Google Vids.
- At the top of the page, check for “Start a new video.”
If you don’t have access to create new videos with Google Vids, you’ll be redirected to Vids on Google Workspace.
Important:
- For work or school accounts, your admin controls access to Google Vids and can turn off access to generative AI features.
- Make sure you sign in with the correct Google Account that can access the feature.
On your computer, you can create, copy, edit, and watch videos in Google Vids through a:
- Work account:
- Essentials
- Business Starter. For a limited time, at least through May 31st, 2026, Business Starter accounts can access generative AI features in Vids.
- Business Standard
- Business Plus
- Enterprise Essentials
- Enterprise Essentials Plus
- Enterprise Starter. For a limited time, at least through May 31st, 2026, Enterprise Starter accounts can access generative AI features in Vids.
- Enterprise Standard
- Enterprise Plus
- Gemini Enterprise
- Gemini Business
- Google Workspace for Nonprofits. For a limited time, at least through May 31st, 2026, Google Workspace for Nonprofits accounts can access generative AI features in Vids.
- School account:
- Education Fundamentals*
- Education Standard*
- Education Plus*
- Gemini Education
- Gemini Education Premium
- Personal account:
- Google Workspace Labs
- Google AI Pro
- Google AI Ultra (only available in the USA)
* If you have one of these school accounts, you can’t access generative AI features, which include:
Tip: If you have a work or school account and don’t know which account type you have access to, contact your admin.
View & edit videos
You can view videos that have been shared with you on your computer, or your Android or iOS device.
Users with a Google Account can edit or comment on a vid on a computer if the owner has granted you comment or edit access.
For work or school accounts, the ability to view, comment, or edit in Google Vids must be allowed by your admin. For users with a work or school account, if you can’t access a video that has been shared with you, check with your admin.
